Knowledge Reuse in Product-Service Systems

The current study examines knowledge reuse (focused on the recipient) from a product life-cycle perspective in context of product-service systems through 27 semi-structured interviews 11 firms. This focused phases beginning-of-life (represented by R&D, purchasing, and production) middle-of-life logistics, customer service/quality, sales). Similarities differences were found between within two six sub-phases. Our research suggests that to remain competitive, consistent understanding requirements for both sender recipient should be identified, match sourced mechanism employed made, organizational culture/mechanisms retain higher-caliber employees prioritized.
